last saturday, may gig kami sa san pedro laguna (sa spcba). astig. we played five songs...fed up/that won't do, 6 underground (sneaker pimps cover), bittersweet, perfect day, and eternal flame (the bangles cover).

saya. it was our first out of town gig...the crowd was very responsive...dami nagtiliian nung pinakilala si jc...dami nagpa autograph at papicture with lara. yesssss...sarah geronimo in tha house! overall it was a good gig for us. mayo had a nice set as well...tapos yung mongols...ayun. ayus lang. they covered prinsesa, alapaap, magasin...and another teeth song tapos they played a couple of their "hits"... so much for P30k. hahaha! lugi ampoota!

last night...2nd session namin sa studio ni monty. lupet ah. scheduled at 6 pero 8 na kami nagstart. hahaha! pero ayus lang, feeling ko pa rin medyo productive pa rin kagabi...although not as productive as i would expect. di kasi natapos ni jc yung bass tracks para sa 3 songs...nagkakaproblem sa bass geetar niya. si rica naman, napagod kagad after a few takes for the "motolite" song. expected na yun,..feeling ko ako rin mapapasuko sa kanta na yun eh. nakakadrain naman kasi talaga eh.

next sunday ulit ang schedule namin with monty (na mas gwapo kay jorel). naman...naman!

nga pala, si mark...ng hh at hiraya...nag-agree na sumama sa recording namin para sa isang track...yung pinakabago namin.."hanggang takipsilim". astig yan. excited na ako sa kakalabasan ng song na yun. jam siguro kami sa wednesday or thursday. which reminds me...urbandub sa 6 underground sa wednesday at hiraya at the same place on thursday. astig!

haaaaay ang saya at hirap ng musikero.

looooong way to go before the ep gets released. sana umabot.

hanggang takipsilim

last night, we finished two songs for our EP. one of which we already played live once before...we just polished the arrangement for it. the other one...titled, hanggang takipsilim...is lara's first crack at writing a tagalog song. honestly, for me...it sounded really nice. with the way the song is structured and created i can freely play with the guitar and do a lot of free wheeling melody based riffs. problem is...i need lara to play the geetar on this one...at least whenever we will play this live. i can fill in all the guitar parts for the recording.

yessssssssssss....onting onti na lang talaga world tour na....wooooohoooooooooooo!!!!

btw, we will be having our very first out of town gig! hehehe! on feb 19 we will be at san pedro laguna. ayuz. we'll be playing with the mongols, mayonnaise, holding hands and hiraya. sana may pang-gas at toll man lang.... *ahem ahem! paging mario! hehehe!

its a perfect daaaaay

last night was a pretty good gig. pretty good sized crowd. they were quite appreciative of the bands playing. i was quite flattered that luanne (mayo's manager) like one of our songs...perfect day. salamat luanne! nakakatuwang isipin na may nakakaappreciate ng ginawa mo. yun lang. i went home happy last night knowing that we indeed have a future...

i heard "panaginip" (mayo's new song) again last night. galing. sabi nga ni mark (ng hiraya at holding hands)...lahat naman ng kanta nila pwedeng pang single eh. how true. hats off to you monty.

...tonight, we're going to finish the arrangements for the 2 remaining songs for the EP. i plan to have mark play with us in one of those songs...an instrumental based tagalog desperation song. hahaha! hindi ko alam yung title eh.

onti na lang talaga..world tour na. woooohooooo!!!

got a new digicam

last saturday...i headed off to hidalgo (near carriedo) where the digicams are very very cheap. yezzzzz...i scored an ixus 30 (masyado nang malaki yung diff sa price ng ixus 40 eh...besides, i wont blow up any pictures anyway).... ang saya...

astig...maganda rin quality ng video capture nito...yesssss...scandal na eto! wooohooo! good thing i bought a 256 sd/mmc card in china. yeba! lotsa lotsa pictures to store. :D

btw, kita kits sa saguijo tonight. we'll be playing with mayonnaise, monkeyspank, and severo. wooohoooo!
