last night me and a couple of friends went to a party of a college friend. the food was damn great...even if it wasnt, i couldnt have cared because i was so damn freaking hungry. it was nice to see some old college friends and catch up quite a bit with them. my my my, time really does fly...it feels like it was just college a couple of months ago...but when i really do think about it, daaaamn...tagal na pala! pucha! tumatanda na talaga kami!
 
there was one thing though...i was being teased by the celebrant with one of her friends. dyahe! dyahe dun sa girl...most importantly, dyahe kay lara. sana walang isipin na masama si lara. oi lara, sorry talaga!
 
after the dinner, we went to peligro to catch kjwan and bamboo. astig! got a few tips or two from the rakstars themselves. as expected, jorel again amazed me with his guitar works...along with kelly (bassist). i just wished that marc didnt exxxxxxaaaag on that "mikey we love you till our deaths" thingy! bumanat pa ng "to hell with the rockstar stuff. we love mikey from the bottom of our hearts!" pota pwede ba yun?! eh the mere fact na paulit ulit mo sinasabi to the point na nakakairita na...rakstar ka eh! pero got the point...condolences to mikey's family (whoever he is).
 
tangnang vic mercado yan! one of the best drummers i've seen since harley alarcon. daaaamn...parang wala lang sa kanya yung ginagawa niya eh. it also made me realize that the band bamboo is 1/2 rivermaya and 1/2 passage...yep...the showband from the 90's...passage...ala "you won't see me crying" crap. nothing against passage. i like them...but bamboo and the rock scene is a totally different thing. labo lang ni ira at ni vic...maybe they've seen the light nga (gaya ng sabi ni lara). watching bamboo sing and nathan play the bass at the same time made me realized how much better rivermaya was. sorry maya peeps, the current peeps in your roster right now doesnt even compare to the old maya. bamboo's soothing vocals, nathans wild and crazy basslines...damn. namiss ko tuloy high school.

Gelo of Saguijo texted me last night confirming the date for the next bembang! production. So, its set. on august 20, hiraya, holding hands, suspicious character (my band gerdamit!), and a soon to be named band will be playing long sets at saguijo. pootangina niyo! manuod kayo! first gig namin yan. we need all the fuckin support we can get. :D
